On Monday 8th July, the Year 10 Geography students visited Barton on Sea to undertake physical fieldwork for their coursework.

 

 

 

 

 

 

The sun didn't shine at all and it rained (not exactly ice-cream weather…) but the students did a good job of gathering data.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The aim of the trip was to experience coastal deposition and protective measures in action. We counted waves, measured distance and angles between coastal defences, as well as completing field sketches and an environmental quality survey.
