Attendance
Lesson Attendance & Punctuality Concerns
Sixth Form students are expected to be in everyday and on time (8.35am-3.10pm). All students must attend the Tutor sessions and Enrichment sessions. These will count towards your attendance marks. After the first half term Year 13 students who are on track or exceeding expectations (Attitude to Learning, Attendance and Grades) may be allowed to leave early (P3) or start later in the day. For Year 12 students the same will apply but after Term 1 This will be on a case by case basis.
Students are expected to achieve an attendance record of 95% or above for all lessons whilst at The Forest School’s Sixth Form. Where there are concerns around lesson attendance, the student will follow the Sixth Form staged support system. The Sixth Form Team will inform home, monitor, and maintain close contact with the student’s parent/carer. Where there are persistent concerns, the student’s parent/carer will be invited into The Forest School for a meeting.
